The German Township Fire & EMS was established in 1966 serving communities across 48 square miles in both Clark and Champaign Counties. The department originated as a volunteer department and has grown to a totally paid department responding to nearly 2,000 emergency calls per year. The staff prides itself in delivering excellent services to the community. Serving today, protecting tomorrow.
German Township is an Approved Ohio State Continuing Education site for EMS Training. EMS Continuing Education is provided each month on the third Monday. The department is an American Heart Association Training Center providing both ACLS and CPR courses to the public.

The German Township Police Department is charged with the responsibility of serving and protecting the more than 7,200 residents and 36.14 square miles of German Township.
Under the direction of Chief Stitzel, our sworn police officers provide a wide variety of police services.
The Patrol Section protects the streets of the community 16 hours a day, seven days a week.
